If you're curious about scuba diving but not quite ready to commit to a full certification course, then Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) at The Dearly Dive is the perfect option for you. The DSD program is designed for people who have never scuba dived before and want to try it out in a safe and controlled environment.
The one-day DSD program at The Dearly Dive begins with a brief introduction to basic dive theory and safety procedures. Your instructor will walk you through the equipment and how to use it, including the regulator, buoyancy control device (BCD), mask, and fins. You'll start the lesson in the swimming pool to practice some basic skills, such as breathing underwater, clearing your mask, and equalizing your ears.
After the skills practice, you'll go on a guided dive with your instructor. This dive will take you to a maximum depth of 12 meters and will give you the opportunity to explore the beautiful underwater world of Koh Tao. You'll see colorful coral reefs, tropical fish, and other fascinating marine life.
The DSD program at The Dearly Dive is a great way to try out scuba diving and see if it's something you want to pursue further. If you do decide to continue your scuba diving education, the skills you learn during the DSD program can be credited towards your PADI Open Water Diver certification.
