Getting to Koh Tao
You can take a flight to Koh Samui, Chomphon, or Suratthani and then take the ferry to Koh Tao. A flight to Koh Samui is the most convenient way. However, it comes with the price. A flight to Chomphon is a great alternative, while coming from Suratthani may take a bit longer.
You can take the train from Bangkok (Hua Lamphong station) to Chumphon or Suratthani and then take the ferry to Koh Tao. From Bangkok, the journey to Chumphon will be shorter than to Suratthani.
The easiest way is to get the joint bus ticket with the ferry company. Lomprayah bus leaves from Khao San Road in Bangkok. Alternatively, you can also take the bus from Southern Bus Terminal (Sai Tai Mai) to Chumphon or Suratthani, then take ferry to Koh Tao.
